Heron Lakes-Great Blue Course (Portland, OR)
OverviewA wonderful Par 5 which sets up a bit straightaway but curves a bit to the green and bunkers guarding the green. A large pond sits guarding the last 1/3 of the fairway right through the green. Pro Play TipsThe first of 4 risk-reward Par 5's on the Great Blue Course, Number 2 offers long hitters the opportunity to reach the green in two. Approaching this peninsular green from any distance is a challenge, as most shots long or short will end up in bunkers, and anything right will be in the water. An ideal layup is between 80-100 yards from the green and favors the left side of the fairway. * Suggestions for play are based on the back tee. |
